There are about 12 tenses in the english language.
They are :
1) Simple present:
(S+v1+extension).
Ex: I go to school.
2)Simple past:
(S+v2+extension).
Ex: I went to school.
3)Simple Future:
(s+will+v1+extension).
Ex: I will go to school.
4)Present continuous tense:
(S+am/is/are+v1+ing+extension).
Ex: I am going to school.
5)Past continuous tense:
(S+was/were+v1+ing+extension).
Ex: I was going to school.
6)Future continuous tense:
(S+will be +v1+ing+extension).
Ex: I will be going to school.
7)Present perfect tense:
(S+have /had+ v3+ extension).
Ex: I have gone to school.
8)Past perfect tense:
(S+had +v3+extension).
Ex: I had gone to school.
9)Future perfect tense:
(S+will+have +v3+extension).
Ex: I will have gone to school.
10)Present perfect continuous tense:
(S+have /has+ been +v1+ing+ extension).
Ex: I have been going to school.
11)Past perfect continuous tense:
(S+had+been+v1+ing+extension).
Ex: I had been going to school.
12)Future perfect continuous tense:
(S+will+have+been+v1+ing+extension).
Ex: I will have been going to school.
